The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum expands to over 2000,000 square feet of display area. The museum's extensive collection of more than 2000 specimens of art and artifacts are displayed at the permanent galleries of the museum.
The William S. and Ann Atherton Art of the American West Gallery cover an area of 15,000 square foot, displaying various paintings, the tallest one being the Canyon Princess by Gerald Balciar.
It also contains landscape paintings, still life paintings and sculptures by various 9th and 20th century talented artists like Charles Marion Russell, Solon Borglum, Frederic Remington and any more. Some of the contemporary art specimens by Edward S. Curtis and other such eminent painters have also found place in the museum.
However, the most interesting aspect of the museum is the section of historical galleries like the American Cowboy Gallery, American Rodeo Gallery, the Native American Gallery, and the Weitzenhoffer Gallery, all depicting America's sport and cultural history. The museum has won several awards and remains open throughout the week from 9 am to 5 pm.
