Remington Park Race Track & Casino Guide

In 1988, Remington Park was built as first legalized gambling venue in the state of Oklahoma. Now it has become one of the best racetracks in the country. Prominently located in Oklahoma City's Adventure District, Remington Park is home to the richest race in Oklahoma. It also includes a casino with 750 slot machines.

Remington Park features two major races: Quarter Horse races and Thoroughbred races. Quarter Horse races last from March through June. And Thoroughbred season begins in August and ends in December. Roughly counted, there are over 80 live racing days each year at Remington Park.

Job Description: This is a position from the Cage and Count/Finance Department of Remington Park. General knowledge and skill of personal computer, AV system and gaming devices are required. Plus, willingness and ability to work effectively with other staff members are necessary. Qualified applicants should also have excellent communication skill in both written and oral English and are capable of interpreting instructions in a variety of forms. High school diploma or general equivalent diploma and basic knowledge of management, information and reporting will be appreciated.

Job Responsibilities: Successful candidates would be responsible for controlling & accounting for casino cash receipts and supporting cash receipts documentation and all the related information on daily & monthly journal entries. The person is also required to balance all money transactions & paperwork and perform all the functions in accordance with company policies as well as regulations and laws.

Drop and Count Room Attendant

Job Description: This job is offered by the Cage & Count/Finance Department of the park. It requires individuals with strong written & oral English communication skills, basic computer skill and ability to deal with various situations and instructions. Knowledge and skill of AV systems, safety equipment and gaming devices are also required. Plus, willingness and ability to work well with peers are a must. The shift starts at 2:45 in the morning.

Job Responsibilities: The person would be fully responsible for drop and count team operations, along with counting & recording daily cash receipts and maintaining all records, reports and other paperwork in the cage and count room. He also needs to conduct all facets of the count & drop, verify various documentations and bundle currency. If necessary, he must work together with other staff to finish their tasks.

Main Bank Cashier

Job Description: This is an opening from the Cage & Count/Finance Department of the park. Applicants must have essential computer knowledge and excellent communication skills (both written and oral). Ability and efficiency to work with other staff are necessary. In addition, basic knowledge of AV systems, player tracking card systems and many other types of equipment are required. High school diploma or GED, strong computer skills and ability to solve problems and handle different situations are highly appreciated.

Job Responsibilities: The person would participate in controlling & accounting all cash receipts as well as the cash check-out process including food and beverage cashiers. Preparing cash deposit every day and balance all money transactions and related paperwork are also part of his job. Other responsibilities involve maintenance of all cash receipts and daily & monthly journal entries.
