
Softball Lovers! National Softball Hall of Fame in Oklahoma Is Well Worth A Visit
Oklahoma City has steadily grown over the years on a number of counts. It has become like the owner's pride and neighbour's envy. The growth, especially in commerce and economy, has been overwhelming.
There are various reasons to visit the city. One of the main reasons could be sports. As is well known, the Seattle Supersonics is now the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thus, the National Basketball Association has an Oklahoman team to contend with.

Along with hosting the World Cup Softball every year, the city is the most important place for all softball players. The National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum is located in the city. The site is where every softball player or associated person aims to reach at some point of his career.
The Hall of Fame and Museum in Oklahoma City were officially opened for public reception in 1973.
The museum is at the Amateur Softball Association of America headquarters. The Hall of Fame has stringent rules for induction. A retired player, who has been retired three years and has been selected to three All-American teams at either the super or major levels, should be the minimum qualification of the aspirant. There have been 400 persons inducted so far.
The Hall of Fame and Museum is open almost all days of the year except a few common holidays. The body has 337 members presently and 125 deceased members.
The museum has many items on display which will give anyone a good idea of the history and present of the game of softball.
