Oklahoma City Zoo might just become the getaway paradise for your kids with so many fun things to see and to do. Admission to the zoo is $7 for adults, $4 for children above two years and seniors.

- Opt for the Great EscApe, an exhibit showcasing chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans. With its unique combination of fallen trees, rocks, large plantations and waterfalls, visitors get the feel of venturing into a tropical forest.

- Visit the Aquaticus that showcases over 1,500 marine life forms. A visit to the Aquaticus would take you closer to the sea lions, angel fish, puffer fish, corals, sea horses and the various environments that they live in.

- While at the Aquaticus, don't forget to watch out for the Sea Lion Show at the Aquatic Center Performance Arena.

- Take a boat ride on the Zoo Lake in a Swan Paddle boat when the weather is fine and the wind speed is normal. It is just great for the entire family as well as kids and young adults.

- Venture into the world of colorful butterflies and see them making their flight or descending upon flowers and leaves to feed and take shelter. Large boards depicting the lifecycle of these butterflies are displayed across the Butterfly garden. This garden features exotic species like - Monarch butterflies, Giant Swallowtail, Painted Lady etc.
